Scrape

Jim Knapp and Eyvind Kang's string orchestra Scrape presents new music featuring Jessika Kenney, guest vocalist. Premieres include Eyvind's Lady Welby, a piece based on a new algebraically inspired notational system, and three works by Jim: From Burnt Norton, Listening to Reason, and Approaching Yvones. The self-led, democratic orchestra comprises improvising-friendly professional string players with concertmaster Heather Bentley and guitarist Gregg Belisle-Chi. (Video here.)
